Mubasher: Initial estimates suggested that US retailers saw a month-on-month sales growth in November, official data revealed on Friday.
Retail and food services sales totalled $513.5 billion in October, rising 0.2% month from a revised $512.4 billion in October, with an annual gain of 4.2%, the US Census Bureau reported.
The sales increase between September and October was revised upwardly to a 1.1% from the initial reading of a 0.8% gain.
By 1:21 pm GMT, the US dollar index rose 0.54% to 97.5870.
